PelviLace® TO Trans-Obturator BioUrethral Support System
Now, there's a natural tissue option for the surgical treatment of Stress Urinary Incontinence–one that offers all the benefits of Bard’s trusted Pelvicol® Implant with the safety of a transobturator surgical approach. PelviLace® TO sling delivers superior, tension-free, self-anchoring suburethral support along with a specially-designed placement system that reduces patient risk.
The PelviLace® Transobturator BioUrethral Support System (PelviLace® TO System) consists of a Pelvicol® self-anchoring, natural tissue sling implant and an introducer kit that includes two stainless steel transobturator needles, a disposable handle and four snap-on tissue connectors. Two introducer needle designs are available – a Hook needle and a Halo needle. Both needle designs operate in a single plane that creates a straight, consistent needle path.
The Pelvicol® natural tissue sling is a porcine acellular collagen matrix implant that has a self-anchoring design that secures the implant in host tissue with tension-free placement. The Pelvicol® implant is positioned suburethrally to provide a natural backboard for the urethra during abdominal pressure increases. The introducer kit is terminally sterilized by ethylene oxide and the Pelvicol® sling is terminally sterilized by gamma irradiation.
